Logica launches competition for innovative partners

15 March 2010

Logica, a leading technology and business service company, today announced its 2010 Global Innovation Venture Partner (GIVP) Program - a search for the most innovative products and solutions among small and medium sized businesses.

Now in its third year, the GIVP Program invites nominations from UK, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Portugal, and India. This will be the first year for the US and Canada. Nominated companies will be judged by a Logica panel and the winner will work with Logica to further develop its product or solution. The winner will get access to Logica’s global sales resources, go-to-market support and opportunities to engage with client organizations where appropriate.

Nominations will close on April 4. To nominate a company, please go to GIVP Programme 2010.

In discussing the competition, GBS Bindra, Global Innovation Director - Logica, said, “The GIVP Program is a perfect example of collaborative value creation. For partners, it is an opportunity to make their products and services visible in a highly competitive industry.  For Logica, it is an opportunity to share both talent and technology with innovative partners. Together we can achieve the highest levels of success and meet the needs of clients. Overall, it’s a perfect example of how different companies can join together to create business value.”

GIVPP 2009 attracted more than 600 nominations from eight countries. Seven country winners and one global winner were identified as Logica’s innovation partners. The global winner for 2009, Appear Networks, a Swedish company, has impressive new technology in context-aware software services.

Xavier Aubry, CEO of Appear Networks, commenting on the benefits of the partnership said, "The GIVP Program has been without a doubt a business accelerator for us. After winning the global award in 2009 in a very competitive selection process, we quickly developed a joint go-to-market plan with Logica in key countries. We were able to close our first million Euro deal and generated a substantial pipeline in our target industries within the same year. We had been developing our vision for innovative workforce mobile solutions in the travel & transport sector and with Logica's support we have been able to reach out to a wider range of industries such as public sector, healthcare and utilities. The joint value proposal is very strong and fits perfectly with today's requirements - providing innovations that can help reduce costs and increase client service."
