Logica announces the winners of the 2011 Global Innovation Venture Partner Program

20 June 2011

UK’s Embarcadero and Sweden’s Vergic AB chosen to partner with Logica on a global go-to-market strategy

Logica, a leading business and technology service company, has announced that UK’s Embarcadero Technologies and Sweden's Vergic AB are the winners of the 2011 Global Innovation Venture Partner (GIVP) Program for 2011.

Embarcadero Technologies won for its AppWave solution, which converts Windows desktop software into sharable mobile-type apps within the business environment. The Embarcadero AppWave solution offers one-click access to broadcast apps without the need to install software.

Vergic won the award for their "ps plugin"- a sales and customer service solution. This solution transforms a web site into a real-time interaction sales experience, enabling person-to-person communication. Such sales interactivity allows companies to communicate and demonstrate products on their web site and minimize the risk of aborted transactions at checkout.

Launched in 2007, the GIVP Program is part of Logica’s client intimacy strategy of collaborative innovation. Both winners will work with Logica on a global go-to-market strategy.

"The GIVP Program’s goal is to name one global winner, however, the quality of applications this year was so outstanding that we chose two," said GBS Bindra, Global Innovation Director for Logica. "We are delighted to partner with Vergic and Embarcadero and excited about the prospect of delivering future solutions that provide value to Logica's clients."

Wayne Williams, Embarcadero’s Chief Executive Officer said, "This global award highlights AppWave’s game-changing and timely innovation in bringing the app store concept to the desktop. Embarcadero’s partnership with Logica significantly enhances our business opportunities with AppWave."

Alexander Lunde, Chief Executive Officer, Vergic said, "Interfacing in a consistent manner with the end customer across all channels is getting more and more important as customers today are crossing channels faster than before. The combination of our personal service product "ps plugin" and Logica’s deep knowledge of client business solutions provides a comprehensive solution for our clients and their customers. In Sweden, we are already taking the first unified steps of approaching key clients with our combined value offering."

The GIVP program named innovation winners in each participating country as well. These winners will work with local Logica teams to develop their solutions and market them regionally. The 2011 country winners are:
